Biography

Sebastian Belmont is an actor, writer, and director trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. His work spans stage and screen, with a practice grounded in strong text work, character-driven storytelling, and a multidisciplinary approach to performance.

He began performing on stage in Abu Dhabi at the age of six and later developed his craft through theatre work in Australia, including community theatre in Perth and volunteer work with Gove Arts Theatre in Nhulunbuy. Alongside acting, he has also worked behind the scenes in lighting, special effects, writing, and directing, bringing a strong collaborative understanding to rehearsal and production processes.

Sebastian’s credits include Pocket, which he wrote and directed, as well as The Low Road, where he appeared in a lead role. His training and performance background include classical and contemporary techniques, voice and movement work, script analysis, and ensemble-based practice. He is drawn to bold, emotionally precise work that explores language, history, and human complexity
